How to export your inspections

Every inspection is stored in the cloud, and you can take a copy whenever you like. Export one inspection to get everything in it, or bulk export to get the PDF reports for many at once.

Export one inspection

Use this when you need the full record of one inspection outside myInspections (a deposit dispute, an insurance claim, your own records, and more).

  1. Sign in on the web. Head to myinspections.com and sign in.
  2. Find the inspection. Open Inspections in the sidebar.
  3. Select Export. Open the menu at the end of the inspection's row and choose Export. You'll also find Export at the top of the report.
  4. Check your email. We email you a download link within a few minutes.

You get one .zip containing:

  • The PDF report, with your current cover and branding.
  • Every original photo and video, named by area and numbered in report order.
  • A plain-text summary of every area, check, note, maintenance item, and who signed.
  • Structured JSON data with the same details.

The text summary and JSON are made for AI tools to read. Give them to the AI of your choice to write a specialized report, compare inspections, or pull out every maintenance item.

Bulk export reports

Use this when you need reports for a stretch of your history (an end-of-year archive, an audit, a portfolio handover, and more).

  1. Open Inspections. Sign in on the web and open Inspections in the sidebar.
  2. Select Export. It's at the top right of the page.
  3. Filter your inspections. Narrow them by date, property, inspection type, or inspector.
  4. Pick the ones you need. Tick each inspection, or tick the box at the top of the list and choose Select all to take every inspection that matches your filters.
  5. Select Export. We email you a download link when the .zip is ready.

You get one .zip of PDF reports, one per inspection. Up to 200 inspections fit in one export. For more, split them into several exports by date.

Bulk exports hold PDFs only. To get an inspection's original photos, videos, and data, export it on its own.

Name the files your way

Before you export, open Advanced settings to change how each PDF is named. Click a building block (property, inspection type, date, or inspector) to add it, and mix them with your own text. The preview shows how your files will look. We remember your pattern for next time.

Download links

Every download link expires 7 days after it's sent. Missed it? Export again.
