How to connect myRent
myRent is rental property management software in New Zealand. Connect it to myInspections to import your properties and keep your inspections in step with your myRent tenancies.
Connect myRent in the app
- Open Settings. Select Connected accounts, then myRent.
- Select Connect to myRent. Sign in to myRent, and your tenancies start importing.
In the app, Home then splits into My managed tenancies and My other properties. Other properties stay in myInspections only.
Connect myRent on the web
- Sign in on the web. Head to myinspections.com and sign in.
- Pick the portfolio. Each portfolio connects separately, so switch to the one you want first.
- Open Settings. You'll find it in the sidebar.
- Select Connect myRent. It's under Integrations.
- Sign in to myRent. When you're done, you're sent back to Settings and your properties start importing.
Already connected myRent to another portfolio? Connect myRent links this one straight away, with no second sign-in.
Only admins can connect myRent. See team roles and permissions. Integrations shows on Settings for accounts in New Zealand.
What gets imported
- Your properties, named by their myRent address.
- Each property's inspection schedule, including the next inspection booked in myRent. Change it in myRent, not here.
- The people on each tenancy, with their names and roles.
myInspections checks myRent for changes whenever you open Properties. A property removed from myRent is archived here. Other admins can connect their own myRent accounts to the same portfolio, and properties from every connected account come in.
What goes back to myRent
- Every inspection you finish on a myRent property appears on that property in myRent, with its type, date, status, maintenance items, and a link to the report.
- Changes follow it there as you edit the inspection, update who's on it, and sign it.
- Signing invitations for people imported from myRent are sent through myRent instead of by email.
- Voided inspections are removed from myRent too.
Disconnect myRent
- In the app. Open Settings, then Connected accounts, and select Disconnect myRent account. This disconnects myRent from every portfolio and signs you out of myRent on your other devices.
- On the web. Open Settings, and under Integrations select Disconnect myRent. This disconnects the current portfolio only.
Properties imported from myRent move to Archived on the Properties page. Inspections you've already finished stay in their myRent tenancies.
