Checklists just got superpowered

We are excited to release v2.0 of checklists. Previously, when building a checklist, you'd itemize things to check, and you'd get a simple (but powerful) "no issues"/"requires attention". This has worked for years, but by popular demand, we have extended our checklists to be much more powerful.

Now, it's hard to imagine inspections and workflows that you can't run on myInspections.

As of today on the web, and from v1.11.13 in the app, checklists include five types:

  • Condition: Our trusty default. You can now customize the "labels" of the green and yellow states, along with an opt-in "N/A" button.
  • Pick one: Create a list of options. The inspector picks one, like a radio button.
  • Pick many: Create a list of options. The inspector picks one or more, like checkboxes.
  • Text: The inspector can type a text answer.
  • Number: The inspector can type a number answer. There is an optional "units" field, for recording things like meter readings, so they display on your report like "2,334.2 kWh".

You'll see our brand new options wherever you build a checklist:

  • Templates. Add them to any area while building your templates.
  • Inspections. Build them on the fly while you inspect, from v1.11.13.
  • Editing on the web. Add or change checks when you edit an inspection on the web.

v1.11.13

This is being jointly released with v1.11.13 on the App Store and Google Play, which in addition includes:

  • Walkthrough and area screens are faster and smoother, especially on large inspections.
  • Fixed freezes when snapping photos quickly, typing notes, and opening the app on older iPhones.

We've built a new flow for running NSPIRE inspections. They are catered specifically for U.S. Affordable Housing providers. If they apply to you, we think you'll be very happy to know about our first-class support for them! • Every NSPIRE standard is an area, and every deficiency is a one-tap answer with its location and severity. Import contacts and notes with your properties

Bulk import now brings in each property's contacts and notes, straight from your spreadsheet. • Name each column after the role, then the detail: Tenant Name, Tenant Email, Owner Phone. Any role works. • A Notes column goes into the property's notes. Other notes columns, like Access Notes, are added with their name in front. • Already imported your properties? Upload the file again to add contacts and notes to them. Nothing is removed or overwritten. Before anything is saved, you'll see how...

Property notes

Each property now has a handy Notes feature. Use Notes to record lock box codes, access details, and anything else your team should know. Notes can be edited both in the web or the app from your property page, and they are kept handy when you run your inspections for easy reference. Notes never appear on a report. Learn more. Notes are also in the app from v1.11.11. Update from the App Store or Google Play. Happy inspecting!
