How to change or cancel your plan

How you change your plan depends on where you pay. If you subscribed in the myInspections app, your subscription is billed by the App Store or Google Play and you manage it there. If you subscribed on the web, you manage it in myInspections. Not sure? Open Settings on the web. If you pay through an app store, your plan says so under its name.

If you pay on the web

  1. Sign in on the web. Head to myinspections.com and sign in.
  2. Open Settings. You'll find it in the sidebar.
  3. Select Change plan. It's next to your current plan.
  4. Pick a plan. Choose Monthly or Annual at the top, then select the button on the plan you want. Each button says what happens before you commit.
  • Subscribing from the Free plan takes you to checkout.
  • Upgrading takes effect straight away. You're charged the difference for the rest of your billing period. If your card is declined, your plan stays as it is.
  • Switching to annual on the same plan charges the annual price now, minus credit for the rest of the month.
  • Downgrading, including annual to monthly, takes effect at the end of your billing period. Nothing is charged today, and the plan shows as Upcoming until then.
  • During your trial, you can switch plans freely. Your trial end date stays the same.

Changed your mind about a downgrade? Select Keep next to your upcoming plan change, on Settings or Change plan.

Update your card or get invoices

In Settings, under Billing, select Update payment method or Invoices. Both open your secure billing page with our payment provider, Stripe.

If a payment fails, Settings shows a warning on your plan. Update your payment method to keep your plan running.

Cancel on the web

  1. Open Settings. Sign in on the web and open Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Select Cancel subscription. It's under Billing, and at the bottom of Change plan.
  3. Confirm on your billing page. Follow the steps to cancel.

You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and Settings shows the date it ends. Until then, select Keep next to the upcoming change to stay subscribed.

If you pay through the App Store or Google Play

Apple or Google bills your subscription to the store account that bought it, so manage it from that account. Changes made there, including a cancellation, show up in Settings on the web.

  1. Open Settings in the app. Tap the Subscription card.
  2. Pick a plan. Choose Upgrade to, Downgrade to, or Switch to annual billing. A change that's waiting shows on the card with its date.

New phone? Select Restore previous purchase in Settings. Canceling happens in your phone's store settings, not in the app.

To cancel on an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select myInspections.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

To cancel on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select myInspections.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription.

You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.

Switch from your app store to the web

Paying on the web lets you pay by card (including a company card) and manage billing on the web. To switch, cancel your app store subscription first, or you'll be charged twice. Then open Change plan on the web and pick a plan. If your app store subscription is still active, we show you how to cancel it and ask you to tick a box before you select Continue to check out.

What happens when you cancel

When your plan ends, your account moves to the Free plan. It covers 8 inspections a year and keeps your inspections for 12 months. To keep a copy of anything, see how to export your inspections. To come back to a paid plan, select Change plan in Settings.

Who can change your plan

Only admins can change your plan, update billing, or cancel. Everyone else sees a note to ask an admin. See team roles and permissions.
