How review before signing works

Anyone you ask to sign a report can review it first, adding their own notes, photos, and video to any area. They do it from the report's link in any browser, with no account or app needed. It's on every plan.

Your reviewers are the people signing the report (a co-landlord or the tenants for a landlord, the owner for a property manager, and more).

What reviewers can do

  • Comment on any area. They pick an area and add notes about it.
  • Add photos and video. They upload their own to the area they belong to.
  • Change their minds. They can edit their notes and remove their photos and videos until they sign.

Your findings stay exactly as you wrote them. Reviewers add to the report, never edit it. For the steps they follow, see how to sign a report.

See what they added

  • In the report. Each area they reviewed shows their notes, photos, and videos under their name, as soon as they save them.
  • In the PDF. The same notes, photos, and videos appear in each area, headed with their name.
  • By email. When they sign, we email you that they've signed, listing each area they reviewed with their notes and how many photos and videos they added.

Choose who can review

Everyone set to sign can review until they sign. Once they've signed, they can't add or change anything.

  1. Open the report. Sign in on the web, then open the inspection's report.
  2. Select Edit. It's next to Signatures.
  3. Turn signing on or off. Under Signing the report, switch each person on or off. Anyone switched off can't sign or review.

To ask people to review and sign, invite them from Share. See how to share a report.
