Notes, contacts, and documents: a round-up of this week’s quality of life updates

Some nice quality-of-life improvements: notes for lock box and access codes, contacts for tenants and owners, and a home for your paperwork.

Every property now has a place for the things that used to live in your head, your inbox, or a filing cabinet. None of these are big on their own. Together, they help save some phone calls or digging through your computer for files.

Property notes

Property notes is a spot for the details your team needs on the day: lock box codes, alarm codes, access instructions, and anything else worth knowing before you knock. Edit them on the web or in the app from the property page. When you’re out running an inspection, they’re right there on hand.

Notes are for you and your team only. They never appear on a report.

Add a note on the web, and it’s waiting in the app when you arrive.

Property contacts

Contacts keeps the tenants, owners, and clients for each property in one place. Add them on the web or in the app from the property page.

  • When you add people to a report, the property’s contacts are right there under Add from contacts. Tick who’s on this one and carry on.
  • Anyone new you add to a report is saved to the property’s contacts automatically, so next time they’re a tap away.
  • A contact doesn’t have to go on a report at all. Keep one purely for reference, like a property owner’s number your team might need on the day.

Contacts are private to your team. Their phone numbers and notes never appear on a report.

Contacts added on the web show up in the app’s People & signing step, ready to tick.

Property documents

Each property now has a Documents section on your web dashboard. It’s the home for paperwork that belongs to that property: leases, certificates, appliance manuals, and past inspections from before you used myInspections. Upload them once, and anyone on your team can find and download them from the property page.

Where to find them

All 3 are on every plan. Open any property from your web dashboard to get started. Notes and contacts are also in the app from v1.11.11, so update from the App Store or Google Play.
